In 2016 I started working with the Brain Stimulation Lab as a research assistant for the work being conducted here. I began my time at Heriot-Watt in 2013 where I studied Forensic Psychology before transferring to Applied Psychology a year later in 2014. It is my aim to successfully graduate from this course in 2017, before finding a suitable area to use my skills in later life.

I’m working with the lab in order to strengthen my abilities and follow my interests, while also preparing myself for the research I will have to conduct in my final year. My final year project is to study “Risk taking behaviour across multiple personality types”, and whilst not a neurobiology topic I feel that I will still be able to transfer other skills I have built up during my time at university to this lab.

During my time at Heriot-Watt I have gained research skills including data collection and analysis. It is my intention to use and develop these in particular during my time assisting.
